Sticks, Strings and Gloves

Years 3 & 4

This course will suit you if you:
• are interested in drama and being creative.
• enjoy having fun with puppets.

This workshop will give you the opportunity to create whacky or weird, colourful or simple characters and write stories about them for presentation.
This workshop will explore a number of ways to make a range of puppets – characters from familiar stories or your own ideas for interesting characters. Over the two days, we will make finger puppets, shadow puppets, puppets on strings and sock puppets and experiment with other materials. After making 2-3 sets of puppets, you will have the chance to develop your own performance – writing the script and presenting it to an audience.
