Brave New Worlds

Years 5 & 6

This course will suit you if you:
• have ever wondered about new and different worlds.
• enjoy reading about imaginative countries.
• are interested in maps, geography, the environment, how people live and connect with their world.

This course investigates science fiction, unusual life forms and strange land formations. This is a course that you have control over! You will be the maker of a new world. We will look at some of the worlds created by authors and artists of the past and present and then you will be able to develop a world that comes from your imagination! Plants, animals, landforms and seas. The people who live there – their lifestyles, clothing, food and stories. Kings and kingdoms, castles and magic – it is up to you! You will then choose how you want to communicate your new world – by model, booklet, illustrations or a combination of these.
